I have to be honest: the 4-star rating on Google doesn’t reflect the reality. This restaurant is truly wonderful — the food is delicious, and the Japanese lady who served me and my family was incredibly kind. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic Japanese cuisine. I live nearby so for sure I will come back soon

Ordered takeout while staying in Parksville. My partner and I ordered vegtable yaki-soba, vegtable spring rolls, vegtable gyoza, kappa rolls, and California rolls. The vegtable yaki-soba came with miso soup as well. The food was good but no memorable wow flavors except the miso soup which my partner gobbled down immediately and said it was delicious. The gyoza and spring rolls were like small pops of flavor, and while tasty, didn't pack the flavor punch I was hoping for. The rolls were good and well prepared with a good portion. The yaki-soba was ok but again nothing worth writing home about. Overall a decent meal but was hoping for a bit extra flavor.

The best authentic Japanese food we have had on our trip to the island. Served with authentic Japanese green tea, delicious udon soup, well-fried Agedashi Tofu and Tempura, good quality sashimi and perfectly flavored teriyaki salmon. Very reasonable pricing. Surprisingly not busy. Must-try if you are looking for authentic Japanese food.
